A brief 4hr Stint at Made in America

So After 4 festivals I ended my summer photography tour with a brief visit to Made in America this weekend before work. Personally for me the brief 4 hrs that I spent in the middle of the parkway in Philadelphia was long enough. I mainly went to Photograph Haim, a three piece sister act from LA. Their live performance is electric and I have wanted to shoot them for months.

Along with Haim I got to shoot Walk the Moon, who were given the duty of opening this weekend of music. They seem to be given this "honor" more often then they deserve, even with the molly popping Deadmau5 crowd and Beyonce super fans in full force at the 2pm set time. The Ohio natives put on one hell of a show.

And to round out my afternoon I waited 30 minutes in the Pit to shoot A$AP Rocky (yeah I know Ironic right). This is where I realized the genuine lack of festival experience this crowd had. Basically in my completely biased opinion, it seemed like the crowd was filled with 21 year old college students who thought it would be a great idea to pregame and do molly at 10am and then bum rush the gates at noon when the festival opened to get a front row seat for beyonce and Deadmau5. Neglecting to get water and any type of shade for the 90+ degree day. So 3 hours later when A$AP Rocky was supposed to go on, I was treated to a oparade of half clothed and half conscience girls being dragged out the crowd from heat exhaustion and dehydration......
